Oct.21 — One of the many impacts of modern human society is the loss of biodiversity in nature. The UN estimates that one million of the earth’s eight million species are facing the threat of extinction. A new report from Barclays Bank Plc, says this decline could cost $20 trillion a year. Barclays argues that focusing on biodiversity as an investment theme will also raise significant opportunities. Katherine Ogundiya, equity research analyst at Barclays Investment Bank, discusses the report on “Bloomberg Markets: European Open.”
