What do you know about Halloween Christmas trees? Essentially, it’s just an artificial Christmas tree with Halloween-themed ornaments, but this decoration idea is not entirely new.
Although Halloween decorations are a much bigger deal in the US than here in the UK, the trend for putting up your Christmas tree early and dressing it for Halloween has been around for a good few years now. Do a quick search on Pinterest and Instagram, and you can see just how popular it is.
Nowadays, you’ll find Halloween trees can work just as well on an artificial fir tree as it can on a twig tree, and while over the years Halloween trees have gained momentum, it’s certainly not for everybody. Rather than looking beautiful and stylish like a traditional tree, they often verge on creepy and ghoulish, and some argue that a Christmas tree should solely be for Christmas.
But if you’re celebrating Halloween this year, and are still searching for last-minute decoration ideas for your home, then take a look at these themed trees for inspiration.
1. Covered entirely in fake cobweb, it’s the bright orange lights and bat ornaments hanging from the tree which make this scheme come together. When the lights are turned off we can imagine this will really come to life.
2. Oversized pumpkins, eyeballs and spider ornaments are used to decorate this tree with a large unravelling ribbon used as a replacement tree topper.
3. Bunting provides the visuals for this snow-covered half Halloween/half Christmas tree – and there’s even a red Santa hat sitting on top.
4. This large skeleton figure has been used as a tree topper – it’ll certainly give guests a fright!
